Internet marketing impacts me in two ways:
1. I buy a lot of stuff and listen to a lot of teleseminars on the internet.
2. I'm an internet marketer as well.
Internet marketing gurus
It's been my experience over the years that there are three types of internet marketing gurus on the internet. Let's take a closer look at these three types and how to respond to each type.
Type 1 - Type 1 is the internet marketing guru that wants to teach you how to do something though they have never done it themselves. There are lots and lots and lots of these kind of internet marketing gurus out there.
What to do - For this type I suggest my RLH prescription - Run Like Hell. If I want to learn something, I want to model someone who has done it.
Type 2 - Type 2 internet marketing gurus want to teach you how to do something, have done it themselves, but are no longer doing. Better than type 1 since they have done it.
What to do - Proceed with caution. So much changes on the internet, if someone is not continuing to do what they are teaching, they can quickly get out of touch.
Type 3 - Type 3 is the internet marketing guru that does teach you something, has done it themselves, and continues to do it.
What to do - Run like hell TO this person. Sit at their feet, model them, soak up all you can.
